Moab is a town of roughly 5,500 residents in eastern Utah located on the Colorado Plateau at an elevation of 4,026ft. Moab becomes a mega-tourist destination in the spring, summer, and early fall. The primary draw is its  expanse of red sandstone geologic formations and proximity to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. In addition, many visit for access to premier mountain biking and 4×4 off-road trails. Equally popular are the endless opportunities for hiking/backpacking, rock climbing, and rafting.

In all, Moab is a place everyone should have on their bucket list to visit at least once. Visiting here is less about the town, which is without doubt quaint and welcoming. Rather, it’s more about being central to the remote red rock desert landscape that features endless opportunities for outdoor recreation.
